  1. Upon submission of this Declaration and confirmation by the Office of Academic Affairs that the student has satisfied all graduation requirements, the student shall be formally recognised as a graduate. Access to University systems and facilities shall expire in accordance with the regulations of the relevant administrative units.

  2. Students who undertake overseas study or remain enrolled in coursework during the intended graduation semester shall submit this Declaration between the start of the final examination period and the end of that semester.

  3. Students intending to graduate in the same semester as the degree examination must submit this Declaration to the Office of Academic Affairs:

    • by 1 March for the first semester; or

    • by 1 September for the second semester.
      Only upon submission by the applicable deadline may the student graduate in the degree examination semester.

  4. Students who fail to submit this Declaration by the deadline specified in Note 3:

    • if they remain within the maximum period of study, shall be required to register and pay tuition fees in the semester following the degree examination; 

    • if the degree examination semester constitutes their final permitted semester of study, shall be withdrawn from the University in accordance with University regulations.
