Dual Major and Minor Program of Graduate Institute of Russian Studies
Eligible Applicants:
Students enrolled in master's or doctoral programs may apply to pursue a double major or minor in another department or program, with the consent of their home department or program, starting from their second semester of enrollment through their fourth semester.
Applying date:
From late April to early May each year
Procedure of application:
Submit a paper application form during the application period specified in the above notice.After obtaining the official seal from the department of enrollment, submit the application along with other required materials to the department of the dual major/minor for review.
Application-Related:
1)Students may pursue a double major at the same academic level and a minor at the same or lower academic level, limited to one department (program) for each.
2)The Master's Program for Working Professionals does not allow students to apply for a double major or minor.
3)When applying for both a double major and a minor in the same department, if the department review confirms eligibility for the double major program, admission will be granted for the double major.
4)Applications for a minor program shall generally not be accepted for departments (programs) from which the student has already obtained a degree. However, this restriction does not apply if the department (program) to which the student is applying grants approval.
5)Students approved to pursue a double major or minor may reapply for a double major or minor in another department or program if they meet the eligibility requirements. Upon approval, they shall automatically forfeit their original double major or minor status and may not reapply to reinstate it.
6)Students may not graduate with a double major by transferring their second major program to their primary major.
