As we welcome the Year of the Horse, all of us at the Graduate Institute of Russian Studies would like to send our warmest wishes to our students, alumni, colleagues and friends who remain such an important part of us.
The horse is often seen as a symbol of energy, perseverance and the courage to venture further. As the new year begins, we hope to carry that spirit with us in our teaching and research. May we continue to think carefully, work diligently and engage openly with the world around us. In a time when the international landscape is constantly shifting, may we remain steady in judgement and generous in dialogue, and continue to nurture graduates who understand both the demands of the present and the weight of history.
