I. Award Period: From September or October 2021, undertake a 5-month or 10-month period of advanced study or research at a Czech higher education institution.
II.Qualification of Apply
1.Nationality of the Republic of China
2.Students who achieve a score of 80 or above in Czech or English during any semester at the university, or who attain any of the following English proficiency levels/scores listed in the “CEF and English Proficiency Test Equivalency Chart” (see attachment) at the B2 level or above (e.g., GEPT Intermediate/Advanced, TOEFL iBT 72, IELTS 5.5)
3.Individuals eligible for overseas training during this period (please independently verify and assess the feasibility of traveling to the Czech Republic, including personal, family, and military service obligations for males of conscription age)
4.If the recipient maintains student status at this institution during the award period, they must follow the procedures outlined in the university's “Regulations for Students Taking Courses Abroad” to enroll in overseas courses.
5.Individuals who have not previously received this scholarship
6.Undergraduate students third year or above; 3 recommended candidates.
III.Application Deadline and Submission Location: Applications must be submitted to Mr.Yang in the International Education Section of the Office of International Cooperation by 12:00on Monday , February 22, 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted.
IV.Please arrange application materials in the specified order. Submit four identical copies, stapled together at the top left corner to form a booklet. Do not use any other binding method.
Ministry of Education application form; proof of Czech or English language proficiency; academic transcripts; statement or certificates detailing personal background and outstanding achievements; one study plan and one autobiography written in English or Czech (no word limit); invitation letter from the intended institution for further study or research (the invitation letter may also be submitted after being selected and admitted by the Ministry of Education).
V. If the number of applicants exceeds the recommended quota, Office of International Cooperation tentatively plans to hold an oral interview on February 24, 2020, to determine the university's recommended candidates (based on a 50% weighting for the oral interview and 50% for academic performance).
VI. The university will submit student application documents to the Ministry of Education for the second round of selection by Friday, February 26, 2021. Students admitted by the Ministry of Education must complete the required supplementary application procedures as stipulated.
