Call for Papers: 2025 International Conference War and Peace: Russia and Eurasia - Development and Exploration
I.Conference Introduction
The Russia-Ukraine war is one of the most controversial events in the contemporary world and has had a profound impact on the international security landscape.Since the outbreak of the Crimean crisis in 2014, tensions between Russia and Ukraine have steadily escalated, culminating in 2022 in the Russia-Ukraine war that has shaken the global political and economic order.
This war has not only had a significant effect on the local region, but has also brought about far-reaching consequences for global international security, political, economic, and social structures.
On February 18, 2024, U.S.-Russia talks were held in Riyadh,Saudi Arabia. The meeting represented the highest-level substantive diplomatic engagement between two nations since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. It also marked the first concrete step taken by the Trump administration to fulfill his campaign.
However, Ukraine was entirely excluded from the process from the initial announcement of the talks to their subsequent conclusion, prompting dissatisfaction from Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and raising concerns among European allies.
Therefore, in response to the current situation, this symposium aims to promote academic exchange and explore the current state and future trends of Russia and the Eurasian region during the Russia-Ukraine war. We welcome scholars from both domestic and international institutions to submit papers and participate in the discussions.
This academic conference features dedicated sessions for master's and doctoral students. We welcome submissions from master's and doctoral candidates. Following the conference, outstanding papers will be selected for the Graduate Student Paper Award, with certificates and monetary prizes awarded to recognize excellence.
